If you have been affected by sexual abuse - directly or indirectly - there's a chance you feel helpless. Like you want to do something but you don't know what or how or where to begin. Well here it is - this is where you begin!
Education on the subject is extremely important. Most people affected know little or nearly nothing about how to handle the situation. This is where you can make a difference:

Anyone prepared to volunteer in assisting survivors with advice or resources.

Sharing your stories or experiences as well as encouragement and coping methods with others on the Speaking Out forum.

You don't have to be a survivor to make contributions.

Any suggestions, questions or ideas are always welcome. You can contact me with any comments or personal messages on the Contact page which will NOT be published on this website - it will be kept private unless otherwise requested.
REACH OUT
If you have enough courage to speak out, you could go on to create your own website (like this one) or support groups within your community.
If you don't have the resources to start your own group, find out about support groups already in your area which you can join. Nothing beats being able to speak to and make friends with people who understand what you're going through.
You also have the option of joining a group online, but it would be best to physically go to these groups concerning your confidence, beating fears, preventing issolation and just getting out of the house.
